Isle of Wight County Press – 21 February 1970 - NEWPORT. – Former Special Constable. – The funeral took place at Carisbrooke Cemetery on Thursday week of Mr. Edwin (Eddy) Rogers, aged 64, of 32 Caesars Road, who died the previous Saturday. Mr. Rogers was for a number of years employed by Cowes Council. During the last war he served in the R.A.F. and afterwards became a special constable. The Rev. W. A. Potts officiated. – The relatives express special thanks to Mr. Leslie and Mr. Peter Wray for friendship and kindnesses shown.
