Isle of Wight County Press - 13 April 1957 - NEWPORT - Death of Mr. R. Mersh. - The death occurred on Wednesday at the Royal I.W. County Hospital of Mr. Raymond Mersh, aged 36, of Rock Cottage, Sandy Lane, Blackwater. Mr. Mersh, who leaves a widow and six-year-old daughter, had been ill for three weeks. Born in Guildford, he came to the Island three years ago from Colchester and became display manager for Dabells. The funeral will take place at St. Thomas's Church to-day at 2 p.m., followed by interment at Carisbrooke Cemetery.
