IW Observer - 30 April 1892 - NEWPORT - FUNERAL OF A POLICEMAN'S SON. - As a mark of respect to P.C. Hudson, who last week had the misfortune to lose somewhat suddenly his eldest son (a boy of 12 years of age), the members comprising the Newport division of the Isle of Wight Constabulary, followed the remains to their last resting place at Newport Cemetery, on Sunday afternoon. Detective Inspector Ayres and P.S. Spanner were present, and four constables acted as bearers. The Rev. A. O. Lochore conducted the service.
