IWCP - 11 March 1905 - Newport - MUCH SYMPATHY - is felt with P.C. Bain, stationed at the headquarters of the I.W. Constabulary, in the loss he sustained at the end of last week by the death of his wife at the age of 30. The funeral at Newport Cemetery on Wednesday afternoon was attended by Supt. Ayres and some officers and men of the constabulary, who sent a beautiful floral tribute in token of sympathy with their comrade. The Deputy Chief Constable (Supt. Hale) was prevented by indisposition from being present.
