IWCP - 19 December 1896 - NEWPORT - INFANT'S DEATH - The sudden death of Maurice Arthur Cotton, aged two months, whose parents live in Orchard-street, was reported to the police on Sunday. It appeared that early that morning the mother was aroused by a peculiar noise the child was making, and it soon afterwards expired, apparently from convulsions. The Coroner deemed an inquest unnecessary.
