Isle of Wight County Press - 8 March 1930 - NEWPORT - DEATH OF AN OLD RESIDENT. - The funeral took place on Saturday of Miss Edith Sime, aged 73, whose death occurred after a short illness on February 22nd. The deceased, who was a member of a well known and greatly respected Island family, had resided nearly all her life with her sister, who survives her, at 18 Quay-street. She was the daughter of the late Mr. W. H. Sime, of Brading, who formerly resided in the town, where he carried on the business of a tailor. The first part of the funeral service was held in the United Methodist Church and was conducted by the Rev. W. H. Mildon, the interment followed at Newport Cemetery. The mourners were Miss Sime (sister) and Mrs. Morris.
